Arny Sans is a stripped down reinterpretation of Arny, designed as a companion face but easily usable as the star of the show. Arny Sans leans into more sober, Germanic iterations of Jugendstil, where a graceful detail like a curved crossbar makes an otherwise simple letter feel alive and joyful.

Arny Sans’ lighter weights feel graceful and aetherial. As the heaviness increases, the letterforms become sturdier. In the black weight, characters nearly interlock like stones in a wall. Various alternates are available, including the option to simplify some of Arny Sans’ less conventional letterforms, prioritizing legibility.

Arny and Arny Sans relate in drawing style, but also share vertical metrics like x-height and cap-height, so that the two can easily be paired. Arny Sans also works well as a subhead or even text-ish companion to Arny’s ornate headline role.

Arny Sans exudes everything we love about Arny, but without the frill. Perhaps workhorse is a strong word, but certainly able to pull some weight.
